Novels

• A reading schedule will be given for most novels.
• Regular reading quizzes are given
• Most quizzes are open book
• Big advantage to own the book so student may
  highlight
• Quizzes are made from the highlights

Journal

• Every day
• First five minutes of class
• Five points if quiet and on task

Vocabulary

• Quizzes every other Friday
• Students must
• Spell the word correctly
• Use the word in a sentence
• Write the sentence in a specific grammatical form

Homework

• Reading will be assigned most nights
• An average of 14 to 20 pages
• Essays must be typed

Senior Project

• Senior Research paper in the fall
• Students must choose a career.
• They must pass the research project to pass the
  class.
• Copies of the project are available on my website
  and at snaprades.com

Senior Project

• Presentation in the spring
• Presented in front of class and a panel of three
  other adults from a related field
• The panel is arranged by the student
• Each student will be asked three of their
  interview questions
• Students must dress as if for an interview
• Students will use Power Point and other resources
  for visual aids

Late Work

• I do not accept late work
• Daily work or quizzes will not be considered late
  if the student had an excused absence
• Oral presentations or projects will not be
  accepted late for any reason.

Extra Credit

• Extra credit will be available at my discretion.
• Individual extra credit assignments will not be
  offered.
