• 4 receive aggressive solicitations

• Most don't tell anyone

• Nearly all young people have used email
• Maybe the simplest but still the most common
• Predator needs young person's email address to
  communicate
• Predator is already an acquaintance
• Not a means for establishing a new relationship
• Most likely used later for grooming
• Easy to access (free, webmail, having multiple
  accounts)?

• 75 of teens using the Internet use IM
• Live one to one communication
• Once a relationship is established, IM is the
  most likely medium for continued communication
• More interactive
