  • The film that is showing today is the Junior High
    Award Ceremony, followed by the Senior High Award
    Ceremony, both of which were held on Wednesday,
    June 13th at Moriah Central School.

Water Service to be Interrupted
  • The Town of Moriah Water Sewer Department will
    be shutting off the water for appoximately 3 - 4
    hours on June 21, 2007 from CV Tech in Mineville
    down to the top of Port Henry Hill by the Golf
    Course. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Special Event at Sherman Free
Library
  • Thursday June 28th at 7pm
  • Andy Flynn will present "Exploring History in the
    Adirondack Attic. Author, Andy Flynn will share
    colorful stories about Adirondack life from the
    archives and collections of the Adirondack
    Museum. He will feature stories about artifacts
    that help tell the
    history of the 6-million
    acre Adirondack Park.

Sherman Free LibraryHoliday Hours
  • The Sherman Free Library will be closed on July 3
    and 4 for the holiday.  The library will be open
    regular hours of noon -7 p.m.

in the Take A Bite Out Books competition at
Champlain Centres Mall on Saturday, June 2nd.
  • The Moriah Vikings team consisted of Hailey
    Chapuk, Rachel Demarais, Jonathan Brassard and
    Roger Kline.

Bi-centennial Raffle
  • Tickets are now available for the benefit of the
    2008 Bi-Centennial.  There are assorted prizes,
    with a Ruth Rumney painting as 1st prize. The
    drawing will be held on April 26, 2008 at the
    Bi-centennial Celebration program, to be held at
    the Moriah Central School. They are 1 each or 6
    for 5.

The Iron Center Opening
  • The Iron Center will open for the season on
    Saturday, June 16th, from noon to 3 p.m.
  • It will be open on Thursdays, Fridays Saturdays
    from noon to 3 p.m. until Saturday, October
    19th. 
  • We are in desperate need of volunteers!
  • You don't have to know the history, it's all
    written for the public to read.  Please consider
    even once a month.  Contact RSVP at 546-7565 or
    Joan Daby at 546-7524.

TOWN OF MORIAH SUMMER TRANSFER STATION HOURS
  • The Town of Moriah Transfer Station will begin
    summer hours on Friday, May 4, 2007.  The new
    hours are as follows
  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays open 900am -
    Noon, 100pm 430pm
  • Fridays open 900am Noon, 100pm 400pm, and
    600pm 730pm
  • Closed on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays

Attention Seniors
  • The deadline for the senior section of the
    yearbook for 2007-2008 is August 31, 2007. Senior
    photos, baby pictures and prom pictures may be
    turned into Mrs. Mildon in the Central office
    anytime up until 8/31. Please write your name on
    the back of any photos you want returned.
  • An information sheet must be submitted with
    senior pictures.

    Bryant as President for 2007-2008. Current
    President Kasey Patenaude congratulates Blaise
    and passes the torch to him as she prepares to
    graduate!

    the Elementary Office at Moriah Central School.

  • Call For Vendors registrations are still being
    accepted for the 13th annual craft fair sponsored
    by the Essex District Masons on Saturday and
    Sunday, July 21st and 22nd at Marcy Airfield in
    Keene Valley, NY. Uncovered and limited covered
    space are available for both 1 day and 2 day

Copies of Channel 17 Programs
  • Recently viewers have asked for copies of several
    programs shown on Channel 17.
  • We can try to accommodate these requests but
  • 1. VHS Cassettes must be supplied.
  • 2. Copying is time-consuming, and must come
  • after school and community priorities.
  • It may be delayed.
  • We suggest that when possible,
  • viewers tape off-cable.

  • On June 5, 2007 all Pre-K and Kindergarten
    classes went on a fieldtrip to the Magic Forest.
    They had a great time riding rides and having
    lunch with their friends.
