  other sources in Business, Management, Economics
  and related subjects (1,125 of them peer
  reviewed)
• Indexes an additional 1800 journals.
• Coverage back to 1965, earlier for a few titles
• Company profiles for the worlds 10,000 largest
  companies from Datamonitor
• Industry reports from Datamonitor and other
  sources
• Country reports from EIU, Global insight
• Some reference books

• Use a web - browser and go to http//search.epnet.
  com
• Alternatively take the links available on QM
  library web-pages
• No password is needed on-campus
• Available off-campus using an ATHENS password

• Allow access to databases like Business Source
  Premier, JSTOR and many electronic journals from
  off-campus
• Need to be set-up using a computer on the college
  campus
• Ask me for details

Searching

• Think about your subject before you start
• Dont search using whole sentences or long
  phrases
• Think of keywords and possible alternatives -
  synonyms, wider terms, alternatives
• start your search simply and then refine it
• be prepared to experiment to get the best results
  in terms of numbers of references and relevance

Marking e-mailing results

• Mark records by clicking on Add (on right hand
  side of the screen)
• Click on Folder has items to view the marked list
• Choose e-mail and then add your e-mail address
• Make sure that you ask for full text when
  available

How to find articles which are not full text on
Business Source Premier

• If the article is available full text, the brief
  record will say Html full text or Pdf full text
• If the full text is not on the database, click on
  the QM SFX link
• SFX will search our e journal list to see if the
  full text is available within another collection
• It also gives the option to search the QMUL
  catalogue to find a printed version
• If you want to go to another library, it will
  also search COPAC, a database which includes the
  catalogues of the BL, Senate House and the LSE

How to find company information on Business
Source Premier

• Choose company profiles to find company reports
  from Datamonitor
• Once youre looking at a company report, you can
  ask to search for periodical articles on the
  company

How to find Industry reports

• Enter the name of the industry in the search box
• Limit your search to Industry profile using the
  Publication type box

Other Limits

• Full text articles only
• Scholarly publications ( ie academic journals)
• Date
• Publication type Industry profile, trade
  publication, book
• Document type article, book review, case study

And finally...

• All the periodical titles which are full text on
  Business Source Premier are listed in the library
  catalogue.
• But.. some titles have an embargo on them so the
  most recent issues are not available on Business
  Source Premier
