ISTEP
  • September 16, 17 and 18 for 10th grade
  • Tenth grade test is graduation exam
  • Tenth graders not meeting standards will retest
    in Fall of junior year
  • Summer remediation for students not meeting
    standards
  • Strongly recommended for 9th grade
  • Required for 10th grade for waiver

  • Retest at least once a year
  • Complete all remediation provided by school
    (Summer program)
  • Maintain 95 attendance rate
  • Achieve a C- average (1.5 GPA) in the 34 credits
    specifically required for graduation

  • Recommendation documentation in area not passed
    by teacher and principal

Weighted courses and GPA
  • Valedictorian for current 12th grade will be
    determined by the traditional un-weighted system
  • Valedictorian for current 9th , 10th , and 11th
    grades will be determined by a weighted grading
    scale.
  • Grades in Honors/dual credit courses receive an
    added point value of 0.8
  • Grades in AP courses receive an added point value
    of 1.0
  • Grades of A receive an added 0.1 in regular
    courses, 0.15 in honors/dual credit courses and
    0.2 in AP courses
  • Students taking 7 courses per semester receive an
    additional quality point added to their total
    point value
