EMT Emergency Management Team
  • The EMT consists of university officials
    appointed by the Chancellor to advise assist in
    making emergency-related policy decisions.
  • Analyze conditions across campus
  • Allocate direct resources in support of the EMP
  • Request assistance from outside resources
  • Responsible for final plan policy approval

IRT Incident Response Team
  • At the direction of the Incident Commander, the
    IRT is responsible for EMP execution during an
    emergency situation.
  • The IRT is comprised of management personnel
    representing areas that have critical EMP
    execution responsibilities.

Unit Plans
  • Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP)
  • Every college and department required to complete
    a provided template.
  • Provides campus administration with valuable
    emergency contact information database.
  • Most important Involves departments in the
    emergency planning process.

Campus Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
  • Serves as a centralized management center for
    emergency operations.
  • Choose an appropriate and secure location not
    likely to be involved in an incident.
  • Select an alternate site.
  • Have necessary equipment/supplies in place and on
    a ready if needed basis.

Our EOC
  • We may activate the
  • universitys EOC in response
  • to a Level 2 or 3 event.
  • Level 2 is a major emergency
  • which disrupts parts of the
  • campus.
  • Level 3 is a disaster which seriously
    impairs or halts normal operations campus wide.

  • Participation increase if large scale emergency
    occurs

    change as your institution evolves.
  • The EMP needs to be updated and tested at least
    annually.
