Agenda
This guide wants to help our customer to obtain
best video quality from ACTi Mega Pixel cameras.
When it comes to video quality, both two items
should be considered 1. Lighting
environment 2. Customers Video
Consideration To define more clearly, we
divide the lighting environment into 4 types and
divide customers video consideration into 4
types. Then we can categorized customers usage
into 16X conditions (164 lighting environment
x 4 customers video consideration. You can
learn how ACTis camera page settings work and
use it to obtain optimized video quality in
different conditions. 1. 16x conditions 4
(lighting environment) x4 (video consideration)
2. How to does ACTi video settings work? How
to adjust focus 3. How to adjust ACTi settings
for each condition 4. Summary
3
1-1. lighting environments
For each lighting environment, we specify two
parameters that would affect video quality, color
temperature and the light brightness (lux).
4
1-2-1. Video Considerations
For how to describe the video quality, we divide
them into 4 video quality consideration. You can
see below for their description and how we test
it. This page tells you video consideration 1, 2
and 3 and how we test it.
Video Test for Consideration 1 , 2 and 3
Note The video quality judgment is subject to
each user. For example, some people value the
sharpness most while some people value the motion
blur most.
5
1-2-2. Video Considerations
For how to describe the video quality, we divide
them into 4 video quality consideration. You can
see below for their description and how we test
it. This page tells you video consideration 4 and
how we test it.

1-2-3. Video Considerations
To measure the color correctness, you need to run
a series to test. Below are what we have tested
via Imagtest tool. The more test you passed in
below 3 items, the truer color a need to pass
all 3 of them to provide true color.
3-2. Color correctness for each color
1. HSV Saturation Test
3-1. Color correctness for each color

2-2. How to adjust Megapixel Lens
This section tells you the tips to adjust lens
for Megapixel cameras. There are three items
to adjust for a lens. We recommend you to
Step1. Adjust the Iris to Full open Step2.
Adjust the zoom Step3. Adjust the focus Step4.

Iris
Because Megapixel cameras has much bigger
resolution compared with previous D1 or VGA
cameras, the adjustment of lens is very sensitive
and makes it sometimes hard to adjust.
