Supported Image Format
GIF Graphic Interchange Format uses a maximum
of 256 colors
Interlacing If you save a GIF 89a image as
interlaced, the browser will be able to display
the image as it loads
Transparency With GIF 89a format images you can
set a single color to be transparent

number of GIF images saved into a single file
and looped
JPG, JPEG JPEG files contain millions of
colors. No transparency and Interlacing support.
