Objectives With Activity

• The students will be able to learn how the life
  cycle of a
• monarch butterfly occurs, what stages are
  involved and what
• happens once it is a monarch butterfly.

• Also we as a class will be doing an experiment
• that can show the life cycle,
• so I will have students on
• day one until the time a
• monarch butterfly hatches,
• will keep a journal and record
• everything that is happening
• (any changes).

Stage 1

• Egg
• Caterpillar
• Known also as Larva

Stage 2

• Forms a Chrysalis
• known also as Pupa

• Caterpillar starts
• to move into formation

Stage 3

• After an amount of time the chrysalis then turns
  into the Adult Butterfly

• Also known as the Monarch Butterfly
