• But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against
  God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed
  it, Why have you made me like this? Romans 920

If therefore God gave them the same gift as He
gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus
Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?

• So they wore sackcloth around their waists and
  put ropes around their heads, and came to the
  king of Israel and said, Your servant Ben-Hadad
  says, 'Please let me live. And he said, Is he
  still alive? He is my brother. Now the men were
  watching closely to see whether any sign of mercy
  would come from him and they quickly grasped at
  this word and said, Your brother Ben-Hadad. So he
  said, Go, bring him. Then Ben-Hadad came out to
  him and he had him come up into the chariot. So
  Ben-Hadad said to him, The cities which my father
  took from your father I will restore and you may
  set up marketplaces for yourself in Damascus, as
  my father did in Samaria. Then Ahab said, "I will
  send you away with this treaty." So he made a
  treaty with him and sent him away. 1 Kings

you have let slip out of your hand a man whom I
appointed to utter destruction, therefore your
life shall go for his life, and your people for
his people. (1 Kings 2042)

Now the LORD sent you on a mission, and said,
'Go, and utterly destroy the sinners, the
Amalekites, and fight against them until they are
consumed. Why then did you not obey the voice of
the LORD? Why did you swoop down on the spoil,
and do evil in the sight of the LORD? (1 Samuel
1518,19)
So Samuel said to him, The LORD has torn the
kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given
it to a neighbor of yours, who is better than
you. 1 Samuel 1528

God Said, But Naaman Thought
Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your
flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be
clean. But Naaman became furious, and went away
and said, Indeed, I said to myself, He will
surely come out to me, and stand and call on the
name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over
the place, and heal the leprosy. Are not the
Abanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus,
better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not
wash in them and be clean? So he turned and went
away in a rage. (2 Kings 510-12)

  for a catch. But Simon answered and said to Him,

God Says Baptism Saves, But
And now why are you waiting? Arise and be
baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the
name of the Lord. (Acts 2216) Corresponding
to that, baptism now saves you (1 Peter321)
In flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do
not know God, and on those who do not obey the
gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Thess. 18)

God Built Only One Church, But
I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon
this rock I will build My church and the gates
of Hades will not overpower it. (Matthew
1618) There is one body and one Spirit, just as
also you were called in one hope of your
calling. (Ephesians 44)
God built only one church
For the husband is head of the wife, as also
Christ is head of the church and He is the
Savior of the body. (Eph. 523)

God Says Assemble, But
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves
together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting
one another, and so much the more as you see the
Day approaching. (Hebrews 1025) But seek first
the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all
these things shall be added to you. (Matthew
633)
For if we sin willfully after we have received
the knowledge of the truth, there no longer
remains a sacrifice for sinsIt is a fearful
thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

God Says Sing, But
Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, singing and making melody in
your heart to the Lord. (Ephesians 519) I
will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing
with the understanding. (1 Corinthians 1415)
And then I will declare to them, I never knew
you depart from Me, you who practice
lawlessness! (Matthew 723)

God Says Edify in the Assembly, But
How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come
together, each of you has a psalm, has a
teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an
interpretation. Let all things be done for
edification. (1 Corinthians 1426)
Now in giving these instructions I do not praise
you, since you come together not for the better
but for the worse. (1 Corinthians 1117)

God Says Teach the Lost, But
And He said to them, Go into all the world and
preach the gospel to every creature. He who
believes and is baptized will be saved but he
who does not believe will be condemned. (Mark
1615-16)

draw all peoples to Myself. (John 1232)

God Says Love Your Brethren, But
Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying
the truth so that you have sincere love for your
brothers, love one another deeply, from the
heart.. (1 Peter 122) Love is not rude, it
is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it
keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight
in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always
protects, always trusts, always hopes, always
perseveres. (1 Corinthians 135-7)
If someone says, I love God, and hates his
brother, he is a liar for he who does not love
his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God
whom he has not seen? (1 John 420)

God Says Forgive, But
Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins
against you, rebuke him and if he repents,
forgive him. And if he sins against you seven
times in a day, and seven times in a day returns
to you, saying, I repent, you shall forgive
him. (Luke 173-4)

to you if each of you, from his heart, does not

Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause
divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine
which you learned, and avoid them. (Romans
1617) And have no fellowship with the
unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose
them. (Ephesians 511)
And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid
of those who kill the body, and after that have
no more that they can do. But I will show you
whom you should fear Fear Him who, after He has
killed, has power to cast into hell yes, I say
to you, fear Him! (Luke 124-5)

God Says Withdraw, But
But now I have written to you not to keep
company with anyone named a brother, who is
sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or
a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner--not
even to eat with such a person. (1 Corinthians
511) Brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ, that you withdraw from every brother who
walks disorderly and not according to the
tradition which he received from us. (2
Thessalonians 36)
But the cowardly, unbelievingand all liars
shall have their part in the lake which burns
with fire and brimstone, which is the second
death. (Revelation 218)

Who Are You to Reply Against God?
Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon
Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his
way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts Let
him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on
him and to our God, for He will abundantly
pardon. For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways, says the LORD. For
as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are
My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts
than your thoughts. (Isaiah 556-9)
