• Keep it simple

• If you have two messages, save one for a later
  announcement
• Make sure others who may be approached will
  present the message the same way

• Keep it simple

• State the key element up front
• Avoid scientific or technical jargon
• If you must use jargon, also explain it in easy
  language
• Make numbers clear and understandable
• If many numbers, make a handout
