New Attendance Policies
  • Teachers will be able to take attendance from the
    time school starts (when the bell rings) until 30
    minutes after the bell rings.
  • If you have not submitted attendance within 15
    minutes, you will receive a reminder from the
    front office.
  • Once the 30 minutes has passed, the office would
    have to complete the attendance for the class.

Policies Continued
  • Daily substitutes will be given a paper class
    roster to hand-record attendance and turn in to
    the office.
  • Long-term substitutes will have their own logins
    for TEMS.

Backup
  • All CC teachers should keep a paper backup of
    attendance for the first week of school.
  • The first day of attendance will be a record
    number of logins for our server.

Add User Specific Settings

Upon logging in, look under User Settings and
click Add User Specific Settings.

Set the Default Year after Login to 0910.

Set the Default School After Login to your school
name. (It should be the only one listed.)

Same as Novell Password
Enter your current password, 123. Enter your new
password. This will be your Novell password.
(First initial, last initial, last four digits of
social.)

Click Submit
Note If you forget your TEMS password, please
contact the Technology Office, and it will be
reset.

You can return to the home page at any time by
clicking on the red house. Check year.

Teacher Home Screen
Under the My Classes heading, click on Submit
Student Attendance.

  • Each day, before you take attendance, the
    attendance status will show a red circle with a
    minus sign.
  • Click on the red circle to take attendance.

  • On the seating chart view select P (present), T
    (tardy), or absent (ABS) for each student.

  • If a student is tardy, you may enter a Tardy Time
    if you like. The time would have to include AM or
    PM. You may also enter a short comment.

  • You may use the view drop-down menu to change the
    way you see attendance.

  • When you have marked all students present, tardy,
    or absent, click submit.
  • A message will appear stating that you have
    submitted attendance successfully.
  • You may change any students attendance until the
    school attendance cut-off. After that time, the
    attendance will be updated in the office.

  • From the attendance screen, you can click on the
    people icon next to a student to see contact
    information.
  • Click Cancel to return to attendance.
