Title: Blessed are the Pure in Heart For They Shall See God
1Blessed are the Pure in Heart For They Shall See
God
Blessed are the Pure in Heart For They Shall See
God
2Blessed are the Pure in Heart, For They Shall See
God.
- What does it mean to See God?
- Why is the heart so important?
- Ive sinned so, how do I purify my heart?
- Once Pure, the Purity must be maintained.
- Do I have a pure heart?
3Blessed are the Pure in Heart, For They Shall See
God.
- Not Visibly
- No one has seen God at any time (John 118)
- the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone
has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable
light, whom no man has seen or can see (1
Timothy 615-16)
- Not At Judgment - All Will See At That Time
- For we shall all stand before the judgment
seat of Christ. For it is written As I live,
says the LORD, Every knee shall bow to Me, And
every tongue shall confess to God. So then
each of us shall give account of himself to
God. (Romans 1410-12)
4Blessed are the Pure in Heart, For They Shall See
God.
Jesus answered and said to him, Most assuredly,
I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot
see the kingdom of God." Nicodemus said to Him,
How can a man be born when he is old? Can he
enter a second time into his mother's womb and be
born? Jesus answered, Most assuredly, I say to
you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit,
he cannot enter the kingdom of God. (John 33-5).
5Blessed are the Pure in Heart, For They Shall See
God.
He that believeth on the Son hath eternal life
but he that obeyeth not the Son shall not see
life, but the wrath of God abideth on him. (John
336 ASV).
6Blessed are the Pure in Heart, For They Shall See
God.
- Pure
- Free from evil desires purposes clean,
unadulterated. - Freedom from defilements divided affections.
- Sincerity genuineness no hypocrisy no deceit.
- Examples
- Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in
His mouth. (1 Peter 222) - Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said
of him, Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is
no deceit! (John 147)
7Blessed are the Pure in Heart, For They Shall See
God.
- But the LORD said to Samuel, Do not look at his
appearance or at the height of his stature,
because I have refused him. For the LORD does
not see as man sees for man looks at the
outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the
heart. (1 Samuel 167) - Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You will make me to know
wisdom. (Psa. 516) - Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or
who may stand in His holy place? He who has
clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted
up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.
(Psa. 243-4)
8Blessed are the Pure in Heart, For They Shall See
God.
- Purity in Words Outward Behavior Not Enough
- For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts,
murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false
witness, blasphemies. (Matthew 1519) - Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
Cleanse your hands, you sinners and purify your
hearts, you double-minded. (James 48) - Why?
- For where your treasure is, there your heart
will be also. (Matthew 621) - No one can serve two masters for either he
will hate the one and love the other, or else he
will be loyal to the one and despise the other.
You cannot serve God and mammon. (Matthew 624)
9Blessed are the Pure in Heart, For They Shall See
God.
I have sinned Therefore, how do I obtain a pure
Heart?
- purifying their hearts by faith. (Acts 159)
- So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by
the word of God. (Rom. 1017) - without shedding of blood there is no
remission. (Heb. 922) - How much more shall the blood of Christ, who
through the eternal Spirit offered Himself
without spot to God, cleanse your conscience
from dead works to serve the living God? (Heb.
914)
10Blessed are the Pure in Heart, For They Shall See
God.
How Do I Reach the Blood of Christ?
Believe Therefore I said to you that you will
die in your sins for if you do not believe that
I am He, you will die in your sins. (John
824) Repent I tell you, no but unless you
repent you will all likewise perish. (Lk.
133) Confess For with the heart one believes
unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession
is made unto salvation. (Rom. 1010) Be
Baptized He who believes and is baptized will
be saved but he who does not believe will be
condemned. (Mark 1616)

Raised To New Life
Buried In Baptism
Death Burial -- Resurrection
Or do you not know that as many of us as were
baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His
death? Therefore we were buried with Him through
baptism into death, that just as Christ was
raised from the dead by the glory of the Father,
even so we also should walk in newness of life.
