Eligibility Requirements
  • Any student currently enrolled at Pittsburg State
    University is eligible for services.
  • Spouses of Students can receive services after
    paying a student health fee. Services are not
    available to other dependents.
  • SUMMER SERVICE Students who were enrolled for
    the spring semester, not attending in the summer
    session, but pre-enrolled for the fall semester,
    are eligible with payment of the summer student
    health fee.

  • Full time students 84.00/semester
  • Medical building assessment
  • 12.00/semester
  • Covers unlimited medical visits at no additional
    charge. Special exams and surgical procedures
    incur additional greatly discounted charges.

  • In efforts to protect patient confidentiality,
    the Student
  • Health Services is compliant with HIPAA Standards
  • and Regulations. We do not release private
    health
  • information about a student without that
    students
  • written permission, except in the case of
    imminent
  • danger to themselves or others, child/dependent
    abuse,
  • court order, or where otherwise required by law.
  • Notations of counseling services or health
    services are not part of a
  • students academic record at PSU.

  • Walk-ins, on a first come, first serve basis,
    with emergencies taking precedence
  • Can also make appointment, which makes visits
    faster
  • Self Check-in
  • Gorilla Wellness-on-line appointment scheduling
  • Visits at no charge, with additional costs for
    pharmacy, lab work, specialty appointments, and
    school-related physicals

Insurance Information
  • Student Health Services will file claims to the
    State of Kansas Student Health Insurance. (Refer
    to your policy for specific coverage).
  • For all other health plans, a receipt can be
    provided to you to file with your insurance
    carrier.

Electronic Medical Records
  • Student Health Services uses an electronic
    medical records system called Point and Click
    Solutions.
  • Secure server housed separate from our office
    within Information Services.
  • This allows for better care of the students in an
    effort to focus on both the mental health and
    physical health.
