• Human rights are children's rights too.
• International human rights recognize that
  children as well as adults have basic human
  rights.
• Children also have the right to special
  protection because they are vulnerable to
  exploitation.

• Facts
• It is estimated that some 300,000 children boys
  and girls under the age of 18 are participating
  in activities involving different types of
  conflict worldwide.
• This includes using children as combatants,
  messengers, porters and cooks and for forced
  sexual services.

Why Do Children Become Soldiers ?
Children may voluntarily take part in warfare,
not realizing the dangers and abuses they will be
subjected to. This can include issues like

• Being forced to become child soldier
• Having no education
• Having less opportunities for work
• Domestic violence, exploitation and abuse
• Being separated from their families and being
  displaced from their homes
• Having limited access to education
• Joining because they will get food daily.

  the age of 18!
