    work and all people who could be affected by work
    activities.
  • It is Criminal law and carries penalties such as
    fines or imprisonment

  • To ensure the health, safety and welfare of all
    employees, by
  • Providing and maintaining safe plant and safe
    systems of work
  • To ensure safe handling, storage and transport of
    articles and substances
  • To provide information instruction training and
    supervision to ensure health and safety at work
  • To provide safe access and egress at all times
  • To provide and maintain a safe place of work and
    working environment

  • Employees Responsibilities
  • Every employee whilst at work shall take
    reasonable care of their own Health and Safety
    and the safety of others who may be affected by
    their acts or omissions.
  • To cooperate with their employer so far as is
    necessary to ensure a safe working environment
    (to abide by the rules)
  • No person should intentionally or recklessly
    interfere with or misuse anything provided in the
    interest of Health, Safety or welfare
