Maintenance
Weekly Pressure line filters Check and clean at
least once a week. Inlet air filter Check inlet
air filter , and replace element if
required. External surfaces Regular cleaning will
prevent cooling fins and fans becoming clogged.
Care should be taken to ensure high pressure
washing does not affect any parts of the
compressor. Monthly Relief valve Check valve for
damage and clean components. Non return
valve Ensure this is working by making sure the
compressor does not spin backwards when it is
turned off. Every 12 months ( or 1000 hours
) Blades Inspect blades for wear, replace if
worn below 40mm Seals Inspect condition of
seals, and renew if damaged or worn Bearings Regr
ease bearings and replace if required. Body Inspe
ct condition of compressor bore for any damage or
wear. Sideplates Inspect for wear or
damage. Relief valve Check with calibrated
pressure gauge fitted to the compressor High
duty applications For compressors on higher duty
applications, running at pressures over 2 bar
for long periods of time, the blades, bearings
and seals should be checked every 6 months, or
500 hours.
