• Oprah was born in 1954 on January 29th
• She was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi

• Oprah came from a very poor life
• Her parents split up when she was at a young age
  
• She was sent to live with her grandparents until
  she was the age of six
• At the age of six she went to live with her
  mother where she was molested by her uncles

• When she turned 14 she went to live with her
  father in Tennessee where she got into messing
  with drugs and alcohol.
• She was then offered a scholarship to the
  university of Tennessee where she studied
  journalism and media
