Scope of the study
  • The study will involve a set of three dimensions
of analysis that, globally, reflect the main
areas that configurate the field of the
    professional characteristics and the conditions
    of work
  • 1. - Type of services provided by vets
  • 2. - Type of services searched by vets
  • 3. - Potential evolution on the type of services
    offered to vets.
  • Each of these analysis will originate a study.
Being independent, they will however be
articulated in order to be later evaluated as a
    whole.

  • Possible changes on consumer attitudes and
    locations
  • Legal and institutional framework of the
    profession and rules of procedure
  • Characterisation of the vet courses, their
    quality, post graduation and training.

strategic agents. Analysis of documents and other
    data.

    ambitions of the future vets.

13
The VET2020 approach
  • Further to this traditional approach, the present
project intends to hear top vet scientists
throughout the world on a survey basis, trying to
identify if the vet profile will really change
    towards which direction.
  • A mailing list is being prepared of European vet
scientists resident out of the continent.
  • Special areas such as aquaculture, environment
and others will receive special attention

leaders to perform the same way
