Partnerships for Renewables

• Facilitating the creation of Large-scale
  Renewables installations on Public Sector Land
• Currently focussing on wind to get the idea
  established
• Will be moving into Bio-mass
• Needs a plot of un-used council land

LA Carbon Management programme

• A one year, consultant supported programme aimed
  at developing an organisation wide strategy to
  embed ongoing carbon emissions reduction into the
  day to day business of the council
• To date Carbon Trust works with 98 councils on
  LACM programme
• Thats over one fifth of all UK councils

LACM Progress to date 63 councils

• LACM has identified over 260,000 tCO2 per year
• Thats over 4000 tCO2 per council per year
• Total Cost savings identified 20.5M per year
• Thats over 300k per council per year
• Implementation to date 40
