Title: Wagon of the Oregon Trail

1
Wagon of the Oregon Trail
  • This is what our wagon on the Oregon Trail looked
like. They werent very big so we couldnt take
unimportant supplies. This was our home and
    shelter on the journey.

2
Chimney Rock
  • This is a picture of Chimney Rock. It has a 404
ft. waterfall. This is one of the landmarks that
we stopped at. When we stopped here we had a
picnic. This was an enjoyable stop.

3
Wild Animals
  • We saw many wild animals along the way. The deer
is the most common animal we saw. When the men
hunted for dinner the meat we usually ate was
    deer.

4
Fort Hall
  • This is a replica of Fort Hall. This is also one
of the landmarks that we stopped at along the
trail. Many people mailed letters to family and
    friends at this fort.

5
Grande Ronde
  • This is one of the many valleys we went through.
This was such a beautiful place to be going
through. We had many picnics here because it was
    so pretty.

6
River Crossings
  • This is when we were crossing a river and our
wagon got stuck. We had to pull really hard to
get it unstuck from the muddy swamp. Our oxen had
to pull really hard and almost died from pulling
    so hard.

7
Native American Tribes
  • We met many Indian tribes along the way. One of
the tribes was the Arapaho. They were very nice
to us. Many of the other tribes were very cruel
    to us.

8
Entertainment
  • We had many different things to entertain us on
the journey. One of them was the banjo.
Children and adults would play the banjo around
    the fire at night.
