A few provisional conclusions

• Regions pay great attention to European
  developments in LLL
• Quality of outcomes vs. complexity of Community
  texts
• On indicators
• Interesting references yet not so much used as
  such
• However, all fields are covered by regional
  policies whether directly or indirectly
• More and more regional authorities elaborate
  integrated LLL strategies
• To go further continue and deepen the analysis

A concrete example OPIR-ECVET

• Origin In the framework of a Leonardo project
  REGIO-LLL a workshop-project on the  role of
  Regions in the mobility of young people in VET 
• 7 European Regions involvement of stakeholders
  (enterprises training centres)
• Sept. 07 to Sept. 08
• Came out to 10 recommendations for interregional
  actions
• Implementation starting in 2009
• One of which Develop official recognition of
  international mobility by incorporating it into
  vocational training courses and qualifications
  in particular by using ECVET
• OPIR-ECVET project

• Experiment ECVET on a concrete level
• Empower regional authorities on a major issue
• Bring an answer to training centres expectations
• Two occupations hairdresser and automatician (to
  ensure transferability of methodology and tools)

  Romandy, Catalonia, Andalusia (x2), Lombardy,
  Rhone-Alpes (x2), Romania (nat), FREREF
