Foreign Travel Policy
  • Personnel with SCI access will--
  • Provide advance notice of official and unofficial
    travel
  • Obtain Foreign Travel briefing, located on the
    SSO unclassified web page http//www.dami.army.pe
    ntagon.mil/site/sso/personnel.aspx. Then fill
    out the Foreign Travel brief form and return it
    to SSO DA.
  • Report incidents of security concerns

  • Ensure personnel know the current threat
  • Monitor travel itineraries from a safety/security
    point-of-view

SCI Officials Will
  • Inform personnel of foreign travel requirements
    at initial indoctrination-- annually thereafter
  • Ensure travelers receive travel briefings
  • Coordinate travel issues with supervisors
  • Maintain records of foreign travel briefings
  • Report incidents via SCI channels

Foreign Contact Policy
  • SCI indoctrinated personnel must protect
    themselves against cultivation or exploitation by
    foreign nationals who are or may be working for
    foreign intelligence services.

SCI Personnel Will Not
  • Initiate contact with foreign government
    representatives
  • Accept or extend invitations to any
    official/social functions
