Furl Why Use It?
  • Bookmarks are available from any web-connected
    computer
  • Searches make manual organization of links
    unnecessary
  • Webpages are archived and fully indexed
  • User determines what is public or private
  • Sharing by email or link is easy
  • RSS services are available

8
Furl How is It Being Used?
  • Students collect websites for online research
  • Teachers share websites with students and
    colleagues
  • Librarians locate and share resources with
    patrons
  • Readers save books they want to read
  • Online users locate articles to read later

9
Furl How Will I Use IT?
  • I will create a shared Furl account for my
media center. When teachers request online
resources, I will save and tag them in this
shared account (shared username and password).
  • I will suggest they add additional sites they
discover to this archive using the same tag.
