As a child, my attitude was at best apathetic
disbelief, and at worst I viewed him as nothing
more than that fat guy in flannel with a
removable beard and breath that could kill a cow.
As an adult, I've tended to view the Jolly Old
Elf as an overweight, tackily clad,
semi-obnoxious intrusion into an otherwise
Christ-centred holiday. North-Pole nothing - I
envision this red-faced, big-bellied demon of
deception driving his sleigh straight out of the
pit of hell to spread his rival gospel of greed
and materialism. Bruxy Cavey, (Pre-becoming
Santas Son)

"Give, and it will be given to you. A good
measure, pressed down, shaken together and
running over, will be poured into your lap. For
with the measure you use, it will be measured to
you. Luke 638 (NIV)

Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
And you wages for what does not satisfy?
Isaiah 552 (NASB)

My dear Martha, you are so upset over all
these details! There is really only one thing
worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered
it and I wont take it away from her. Luke
1041-42 (NLT)

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with
you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a
living and holy sacrifice the kind he will
accept. When you think of what he has done for
you, is this too much to ask? Romans 121
(NLT)

It is more blessed to give than to
receive. Acts 2035 (NIV)

You must each make up your own mind as to how
much you should give. Dont give reluctantly or
in response to pressure. For God loves the
person who gives cheerfully. 2 Corinthians

And God will generously provide all you need.
Then you will always have everything you need and
plenty left over to share with others. 2
Corinthians 98 (NLT)
