Living Things-
  • All living things grow, eat, move, breathe, and
    reproduce. All living things are made of cells

Nonliving Things
  • Nonliving things have either NEVER been alive, OR
    have been put through some process. Some examples
    are paper, pencils, and lemonade.

(Once-Living)Dead Things
  • Dead things must have been alive once. Dead
    things show no characteristics of living things.

  • Air
  • Water
  • Nutrients
  • Light

Photosynthesis
  • the process of using the suns energy to produce
    food for an organism.

Nutrient
  • a substance that an organism needs to survive
    and grow.

Plant Parts
  • Roots- take in water and nutrients.
  • Stem- transport water and food for the plant.
  • Leaves- breathe and take in sunlight.

  • A structure or behavior that helps an organism
    survive in its surroundings. Ex. Bird Beaks

  • An animals color or pattern that helps it blend
    in with its surroundings.

  • an adaptation in which an animal looks or acts
    like another animal or object.

  • The location, or type of place where an organism

  • a deep sleep-like state when an animals body
    processes slow down
