Goals and Objectives
  • We will review MYSA and other legal requirements
    for affiliate members.
  • Suggest strategies to aid in the administration
    of your soccer program.
  • To establish improved lines of communication
    between player, parents, coaches, clubs and MYSA.

Legal Requirements for Club Board
  • President
  • Treasurer

President
  • Shall have general management of the business of
    the corporation.
  • When present shall preside over the meetings of
    the board and the members.
  • Shall see that the decisions of the board are
    carried out.
  • Shall execute and deliver in the name of the
    corporation all of the contracts relating to the
    business of the corporation.
  • Shall maintain the records of the board.

Treasurer
  • Shall keep accurate financial records for the
    corporation.
  • Deposit all funds in the name of and to the
    credit of the corporation.
  • Disperse corporate funds as ordered by the board.
  • Upon request provide financial report to the
    president and board.

  • There are legal responsibilities in being the
    director of a corporate entity.

  • Keep the best interests of the corporation in
    mind.
  • Spend the money wisely

  • File and pay your corporate taxes.

Corporate Status
  • File Articles of Incorporation with the Secretary
    of State.
  • Annual Registration with the Secretary of State.
  • Conduct at least Annual Membership Meeting.
  • Must have an address, not a Post Office Box.
  • Forms and information are available at the
    Secretary of States web site at
    www.sos.state.mn.us.

  • If acting in the best interests of the
    corporation and are reasonable, no liability for
    actions taken.
