  • Web reporting is straightforward. Same code can
    be used on the client side (within an
    application) and on server side (to render on a
    browser)
  • Easy to integrate in Eclipse RCP framework

  • Export to CSV is not straightforward.

  • Pros
  • This is a web reporting tool. It supports
    reporting functionality and exports to formats
    like PDF, HTML, CSV, XLS, RTF, and Image
  • It interacts with other reporting engines like
    BIRT and Jasper to provide one unified reporting
    framework.

  • Integrating OpenReports into a standalone
    application is not straightforward.
