Our 40 Day Journey...

• Experience a new relationship with God through
  Christ!
• Blessings are often followed by testing, guard
  your minds!

Like Elijah of old, we too are about to begin a
40 day journey, we too are about to climb toward
a summit, we too are about to encounter God!

1. Preparing for MY 40 Day Journey...

• Be SENSITIVE to Gods Divine Touch.
• 197 The angel of the Lord came back a second
  time and touched him..
• Maintain a DAILY Diet for Gods Word.
• 196 He looked around, and there by his head was
  a cake of bread baked over hot coals, and a jar
  of water. He ate and drank...
• 198 So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened
  by that food
• Possess a DETERMINED Commitment toward the goal.
• 198 for the journey is too much for you. V8 he
  traveled forty days and forty nights until he
  reached Horeb, the mountain of God.

  the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the
  Lord is about to pass by...

• Attentive DISCERNMENT of Gods Activity.
• 1911-12 the Lord was not in the wind... the Lord
  was not in the earthquake... but the Lord was not
  in the fire... And after the fire came a gentle
  whisper...
• RECEPTIVE Hearing as God speaks.
• 1912-13 And after the fire came a gentle
  whisper... Elijah heard it...
• Humble ACCEPTANCE in what God teaches you.
• 1913 When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak
  over his face...

• Way of THINKING!
• 1918 Yet I reserve seven thousand in Israel--all
  whose knees have not bowed down to Baal...
• DIRECTIVES concerning Gods Will!

  Hazael king over Aram (Syria). Also, anoint
  Jehu... king over Israel, and anoint Elisha... to
  succeed you as prophet.
