Attributes of PLCs
  • 3 min. write personal experience in a learning
    community that was positive (club, church group,
    course, support group, etc.)
  • How structured?
  • What made it a positive learning place?
  • Share!
  • 2 min. write a time when you got feedback and it
    was a negative experience
  • Share!
  • As a group, make a list of the 4 or 5 attributes
    that seem to stand out.

  • Start with Community Agreement
  • Add from your list of Attributes.
  • What else do you need to be on this list?
  • Can all agree to abide by rules?
  • If so, sign.
  • Name your PLC.

  • Create a Group on our Ning and invite your
    members to join it (I will need to approve).
  • Please post who will serve as the Leaders for
    these dates
  • 9/25

  • 11/30 (week)
  • Leaders will post required material on the Group
    site

  • Get recording sheet
  • Pin on your job title
  • Pick a number and go to your center
  • Bring your kids!
  • Then
  • Do the activity or use the tool (as you!)
  • Consider how your kids would be most successful
    with activity or tool.

  • Begin identifying a child for Teacher Inquiry 1
    and collecting data
  • Well meet in the CITE lab next week for 2 hours
    between 9 a.m.-1 p.m. with your PLC.
  • Reading will be posted on Calendar by mid-week
  • Your group decides how/when to read/meet
