IB Mission
  • The International Baccalaureate Organization
    aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and
    caring young people who help to create a better
    and more peaceful world through intercultural
    understanding and respect.
  • To this end the IBO works with schools,
    governments and international organizations to
    develop challenging programmes of international
    education and rigorous assessment.
  • These programmes encourage students across the
    world to become active, compassionate and
    lifelong learners who understand that other
    people, with their differences, can also be
    right.

Requirements for the IBMYP Certificate
  • Participation in the final two years of the
    programme
  • A grade total of at least 36 out of 63
  • At least a grade 2 in each subject
  • At least a grade 3 for personal project
  • Completion of the schools requirements for
    community and service

Progression to the IBDP
  • The IBDP
  • Continues to develop students abilities to
    learn, with internationally prescribed content
  • Continues with the Learner Profile
  • Adds Theory of Knowledge which carries on with
    the IBMYP Fundamental Concepts
  • Adds Creativity, Action, Service (CAS) which
    continues to develop skills and understandings
    from the areas of interaction.
