Mayo Clinic research indicates learning to
forgive is a better choice for overall health.
Studies show that holding a grudge leads to
cardiovascular effects. One study found that
even focusing on a personal grudge drove up blood
pressure. When the subjects imagined they had
forgiven the grudge, blood pressure returned to
normal.

Matthew 21-3, 16-17 (NKJV) Jesus was born in
Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king
An angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a
dream, saying, Arise, take the young Child and
His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I
bring you word for Herod will seek the young
Child to destroy Him. Then Herod, when he saw
that he was deceived by the wise men, was
exceedingly angry and he sent forth and put to
death all the male children who were in Bethlehem
and in all its districts, from two years old and
under, according to the time which he had
determined from the wise men.

Matthew 319-20, 141,10-13 (NKJV) After Herod
died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to
Joseph in Egypt and said, "Get up, take the child
and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for
those who were trying to take the child's life
are dead." At that time Herod the tetrarch heard
the report about Jesus So he sent and had John
beheaded in prison Then his disciples came and
took away the body and buried it, and went and
told Jesus. When Jesus heard it, He departed
from there by boat to a deserted place by
Himself.

Luke 236-11 (NKJV) Pilate sent Him to Herod, who
was also in Jerusalem at that time. Now when
Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad for he
had desired for a long time to see Him, because
he had heard many things about Him, and he hoped
to see some miracle done by Him. Then he
questioned Him with many words, but He answered
him nothing. And the chief priests and scribes
stood and vehemently accused Him. Then Herod,
with his men of war, treated Him with contempt
and mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe,
and sent Him back to Pilate.
8
Luke 2334 (KJV) Then said Jesus, Father, forgive
them for they know not what they do.

Some people have extremely strong feelings of
shame and inferiority deep within themselves
They convince themselves if they could just avoid
making mistakes, it would drive those feelings
away Of course, this only exacerbates the
problem. They can never be totally successful
because each new mistake they make underscores
their lack of perfection and thus leads to even
more self-abuse and depression. The cycle is
vicious and endless.
