Nigerias proven oil reserves are between 16
and 22 billion barrels (Source US EIA)
DPR estimate put at 40 billion barrels Total
Oil Field is 159 1481 wells in Operations
78 of the 159 oil fields are in the Niger Delta
region Natural Gas Reserve over 100 trillion
cubic feet Nigerias petroleum is classified
as light or sweet crude. Operational gas
projects NLNG, under construction BRASS,
OKLNG.

  grossly affected or impacted.
• The principle of Sustainability as discussed
  will enhance good environmental performance.
• Government have also put in some intervention
  measures for good environmental stewardship
  supporting vision 20/2020.

RECOMMENDATIONS

• Gas Master plan to be developed. Efforts are in
  that direction.
• Develop a REALISTIC GAS FLARE PHASE OUT Programme
• Government to provide their stake on equity funds
  ON TIME for these project that also serve as
  POLLUTION ABATEMENT STRATEGIES
• Incorporate the principles of sustainability in
  all Oil and Gas Projects.
