Vision Statement

• To provide a central focus in terms of advice,
  communication and support mechanisms within the
  Faculty in all matters relating to practice
  learning.

• To enable collaborative working across the
  Faculty, other HEIs, the SHA and practice
  educators
• to promote practice learning and
• to enable the development of placement strategy
  and
• the adoption of best practice

• To initiate procedures and ensure effective
  management of flexible data systems across the
  Faculty and the practice environment thereby
  monitoring
• - placement provision
• - capacity and allocation processes,
• - quality
• Health and Safety and CRB requirements

• To provide data access and information for
• the Faculty of Health and partner HEIs
• interface with Y H Strategic Health Authority
  placement mechanisms
• regional NHS agencies,
• Professional Statutory and Regulatory Bodies
• marketing and research
• Interprofessional Learning opportunities

• To provide support and advice for those involved
  in the development of partnerships on behalf of
  the Faculty
• with employers,
• agencies
• potential sponsoring organisations

• To lead and support the development of new
  opportunities, providing work based learning and
  placement experiences in
• emerging independent sectors
• 3rd sector health care organisations

• To provide advice to programme leaders to ensure
  placement experience meets
• Professional Statement and Regulatory Body and
  DoH standards
• quality assurance mechanisms

• To provide the interface and strategic direction
  for the Faculty between students engaged in
  practice learning and their practice setting
