Historical Sketch

• In 536 B.C. Cyrus, a king, released 50,000 Jews.
  Cyrus was the ruler of the Medo-Persians, former
  Babylon.
• The book of Ezra tells the account of the
  rebuilding of the temple of Jerusalem. 20 year
  span-- 516 B. C. temple is completed, however,
  the city is surrounded by debris and brokenness.
• 446 B.C. Nehemiah approaches the king and
  requests to go and rebuild.
• The King grants his request, provides for the
  endeavor. Parallels Gods sending the Holy Spirit
  to rebuild, renew and restore the image of God in
  each one of His children.

  Central rule territory. Mind, emotions,
  intellect. Territory to be conquered
  occupied.
• Body the environs This area was set aside to
  be one of peace where Gods Kingdom rule would be
  manifest and witnessed by others. The opposite
  occurs because of sin non-peace, brokenness and
  the inability to witness Gods Kingdom rule.

• 1 John 39 No one who is born of God will

  life and my seed (DNA) is in you -- my
  attributes of my personality shall be forthcoming
  in you.
• So in the spiritual life my Word will grow in
  you and you will grow into being made perfect --
