4How To Clear import and Export Consignment under
ICES Version 2?
For clearance of import and export consignments
it is necessary for submission of
declarations(Bills of entry/ Shipping bills)
electronically. The data requirements for
preparing the declaration must be kept in mind.
Also, the software that generates these
declarations must be compliant. Usually, the
declaration has two aspects on which information
is sought (1) the Commercial aspect of the
transaction and (2) the logistics aspect of the
transaction. To carry out its work, customs
requires a combination information of both these
aspects
Preparation of the importer/Exporter/CHA in terms
of the information is key to effective and fast
clearance
