What is Safety Central?

  • A major new development
  • The centre of excellence for the development and
    delivery of safety awareness and education
  • Led by West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service
    working in partnership with local agencies,
    organisations and communities
  • A hub of activity based in Bramley in Leeds
    serving the whole of West Yorkshire
  • Building work now complete and planning for
    official opening in Autumn 2009

  • We are already working with key partners and
    sharing and learning from each other.
  • We are regularly developing successful
    partnership arrangements however the challenge
    comes from embedding sustainable change.
  • Safety Central aims to pull together partners to
    freely share best practice and expertise, pool
    resources and join up messages.
