My Early Years
The earliest books I remember are the Little
Golden Books. Here are some of my favorites

My Parents read the newspaper, but still
encouraged me to read.

School Experiences

• Unfortunately SRA and level readers really turned
  me off to reading because I was kind of a slow
  reader. But once I started reading novels, I
  gained confidence. Laura Ingalls Wilder was my
  absolute favorite author!

Teen Spirit

• The characters I enjoyed the most were the ones
  having the same experiences that I was having as
  a raging, hormonal teenager!

As An Adult Did I Ever Really Grow Up?

• When I read for pleasure, I love biographies. It
  makes me feel so much better about my 1 marriage,
  2 kids, simple life!! I am very focused on
  teaching, so I read a lot of idea books and
  curriculum information.

I Have Come Full Circle

• I loved reading to my kids! I have a huge
  collection of early childhood books and so many
  of them are my favorites.
