Keys to Communicating Clearly

• Use phrases on a slide, not sentences
• Have clear contrast between background and text
• Spell text correctly
• Do NOT overfill the slide with text and
  information

• Try to vary the way your slides look
• Use graphics that are tasteful and cite them!
• Graphics should be clear and relevant to your
  topic
• Dont overdo animations

Presentations Gone Wild

• When you try to include a ridiculous amount of
  information and it make no sense then to are
  really messing things up and we are bored.
• Often, animations and do-dads in the
  presentation distract the viewer and only make
  their job as audience harder.
• This is a terrible way to present, and no
  graphics to interest the viewer.

  colors and reading from the slide
• We will be bored and then you will fail miserably
• Stay focused and stay on task save the filler
  for another project!
