Work of the Holy Spirit

• " In the East the former rain falls at the
  sowing time. It is necessary in order that the
  seed may germinate. Under the influence of the
  fertilizing showers, the tender shoot springs up.
  ... The Lord employs these operations of
  nature to represent the work of the Holy Spirit.
  As the dew and the rain are given first to cause
  the seed to germinate, and then to ripen the
  harvest, so the Holy Spirit is given to carry
  forward, from one stage to another, the process
  of spiritual growth.

Work of the Holy Spirit

• The latter rain, ripening earth's harvest,
  represents the spiritual grace that prepares the
  church for the coming of the Son of man. But
  unless the former rain has fallen, there will be
  no life the green blade will not spring up.
  Unless the early showers have done their work,
  the latter rain can bring no seed to perfection.

  be a constant development of Christian virtue, a
  constant advancement in Christian experience.

• I believe with all my heart that the Spirit of
  God is being withdrawn from the world, and those
  who have had great light and opportunities and
  have not improved them, will be the first to be
  left. They have grieved away the Spirit of God.
  The present activity of Satan in working upon
  hearts, and upon churches and nations should
  startle every student of prophecy. The end is

• Not one of us will ever receive the seal of God
  while our characters have one spot or stain upon
  them. It is left with us to remedy the defects in
  our characters, to cleanse the soul temple of
  every defilement. Then the latter rain will fall
  upon us as the early rain fell upon the disciples
  on the Day of Pentecost.

When Does The Latter Rain Arrives?

• What are you doing, brethren, in the great work
  of preparation? Those who are uniting with the
  world are receiving the worldly mold and
  preparing for the mark of the beast. Those who
  are distrustful of self, who are humbling
  themselves before God and purifying their souls
  by obeying the truth these are receiving the
  heavenly mold and preparing for the seal of God
  in their foreheads. When the decree goes forth
  and the stamp is impressed, their character will
  remain pure and spotless for eternity.

When Does The Latter Rain Arrives?

• Now is the time to prepare. The seal of God will
  never be placed upon the forehead of an impure
  man or woman. It will never be placed upon the
  forehead of the ambitious, world-loving man or
  woman. It will never be placed upon the forehead
  of men or women of false tongues or deceitful
  hearts. All who receive the seal must be without
  spot before God--candidates for heaven. Go
  forward, my brethren and sisters. I can only
  write briefly upon these points at this time,
  merely calling your attention to the necessity of
  preparation. Search the Scriptures for
  yourselves, that you may understand the fearful
  solemnity of the present hour.

Send YOURS Sin Before HandS

• The work of the investigative judgment and the
  blotting out of sins is to be accomplished before
  the second advent of the Lord. Since the dead are
  to be judged out of the things written in the
  books, it is impossible that the sins of men
  should be blotted out until after the judgment at
  which their cases are to be investigated. But the
  apostle Peter distinctly states that the sins of
  believers will be blotted out "when the times of
  refreshing shall come from the presence of the

  to give to every man as his work shall be.

  words, and seal the book, even to the time of the
  end many shall run to and fro, and knowledge

  for the words are closed up and sealed till the
  time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made
  white, and tried but the wicked shall do
  wickedly and none of the wicked shall
  understand but the wise shall understand.

  the injunction comes to John as to Daniel in
  regard to the little book "Seal up those things
  which the seven thunders uttered." These relate
  to future events which will be disclosed in their
  order. Daniel shall stand in his lot at the end

  Then Daniel's prophecies have their proper place
  in the first, second, and third angels' messages
  to be given to the world. The unsealing of the
  little book was the message in relation to time.

  heard the mysteries which the thunders uttered,

  of events which would transpire under the first
  and second angels' messages. (MS 59, 1900).

  which was sealed until the time of the end, when

  our world. These matters are of infinite
  importance in these last days but while "many
  shall be purified, and made white, and tried,"
  "the wicked shall do wickedly and none of the
  wicked shall understand." How true this is! Sin
  is the transgression of the law of God and those
  who will not accept the light in regard to the
  law of God will not understand the proclamation
  of the first, second, and third angel's messages.
  The book of Daniel is unsealed in the revelation
  to John, and carries us forward to the last
  scenes of this earth's history.

How Does The Latter Rain come?

• This is a fearful message, because we think we
  are ready and were not. We are grabbing hold of
  the latter rain message, and the understanding of
  it, we know the reading and we can demonstrate it
  through and through, but neglecting the work of
  the former!! Having the little book but not
