INSTM National Consortium for Materials Science
Technology

• Born in 1996
• today has a critical mass of more than 1700
  affiliates
• from 43 Italian Universities
• In practice, all the departments where research
  on Materials Science and Technology is made

Mission Statement 1

• To promote, coordinate and perform research,
  education and technological advancement in the
  area of Science and Technology of Materials, in
  Italy, in particularly in connection with
  Chemistry, Engineering and Nanotechnology,
  optimizing the efforts of the affiliated
  Universities.

  International partnerships and collaborations,
  offering the full spectrum of the best Italian
  Research and facilities in the above areas.

  Assistants are involved in research in
  nanotechnology
• Research areas ranging from Molecular Machines to
  Nanoporous Materials, from Biocompatible
  Materials to Molecular Electronics and Photonics

• high-vacuum equipments for the synthesis of

• facility with a class 1000 clean room for thin
  film growth and processing.

  party users via arrangement with the
  corresponding institutions, departments or
  research groups.
