• A pilot project initiated through the
• Breckland Local Strategic Partnership and
  co-funded by Norfolk County Council

Why do we need a pilot?

• Not everyone lives on a bus route
• If you dont have a bus, you probably dont have
  a free bus pass (or get best use out of one if
  you do)
• Rurality compounds access problems
• Opportunity to try something different to improve
  access

How will it work?

• 100 residents in the A1075 corridor will sign up
• 200 worth of tokens will be provided for each
  person
• Scheme runs Sept 07-March 08
• Buses, taxis, flexibus, rail??, community car
  schemes provide journeys
• Tokens are currency
• Tokens reimbursed to operators

Outcomes

• Travel diaries will be part of the deal
• Choices are noted each time by the resident
• Data and analysis used for future service
  planning
• Real life examples of what difference it makes
  e.g. health improvement
• Report back to LSP for consideration
