Frequently Asked QuestionsIs it a must to
complete the course within the 2-year time frame?
  • The maximum candidacy period allowed by the
university is 4 years. An extension can be
considered beyond the 4th year in certain cases
to address the unforeseen circumstances. However,
we will encourage students to finish within a
    two-year time frame.

13
Is this the first master programme in the area of
KM in Singapore?
  • Yes, this is the first KM master program in
Singapore. There are several academic programs in
several universities in other parts of the world.
Some of these include renowned universities,
e.g., George Washington University and Kent State
University in the U.S., Sheffield University in
the U.K, University of South Australia in
Australia, and Donau-Universität Krems in Germany

14
What are the job opportunities for KM Graduates?
  • For the first batch, most of the students are
expected to be working professionals from
different organizations in the public and private
sectors. They are expected to go back and take
leading positions (like CKO, CIO, etc) in their
parent departments. As more and more
    organizations will be establishing KM
departments, we see the need for qualified
professionals to fill various types of positions
    like knowledge managers, information
professionals, CIOs , CKOs, MIS, etc.
