Vilka är vi?

• East Midlands European Office (EMEO) öppnade i
  Bryssel i början av 1990-talet
• Teamet består av 4 heltidstjänster och en
  praktikant
• Som många andra kontor ar vi fokuserade pa EUs
  fonder och programme
• Hitta och maximera mojligheter for
  partnerorganisationer samt att promota regionens
  starka sidor i Bryssel

What is ENRICH?

• European Network of Regions Improving Citizen's
  Health
• ENRICH is a network of European regions and local
  authorities working together to improve health
  and healthcare through an active cooperation with
  each other.

What is ENRICH?

• Established on November 2005 in Florence, Italy.
• Principle purpose - to share experience and good
  practice with a view to contributing to the
  European debate on health from a regional
  perspective.
• The networks focus is on policy implementation.

Objectives and Aims

• Objective promotion of an efficient and high
  quality health accessible for everyone
• Exchange of good practices
• Development of joint projects
• Contribute to the development of European policy
• Take into account the needs and expectations of
  regions in European programmes and initiatives

Structure

• Steering Group composed of Regions'
  representatives, it defines the strategy of the
  Network.
• Secretariat coordinated from Brussels by the
  Tuscany Region's office follows and informs the
  Steering Group of EU health policy developments
  and makes the link with the Working Groups of the
  Network.
• Working Groups thematic working groups composed
  of regional experts policy input and project
  development.

Project Collaboration

• AIR
• Addressing Inequalities Interventions in Regions
• The AIR project, provisionally approved for
  funding under the EU Health Programme, aims to
  reduce health inequalities by implementation and
  transfer of best practice at local, regional and
  national level to policymakers.
• The budget for the project is 1 million over 24
  months (560K from the EU).
• 22 associated partners including organisations
  from Malta, Hungary and Poland.
