Room Lighting

• Research has shown that this lighting enhances
  student learning and has a calming effect on
  students and the teacher!
• Some students are bothered by traditional
  florescent lighting.

Grading

• Homework and classwork count once.
• Quizzes count twice.
• Tests count three times.
• Projects count four times.
• I give lots of gradeseven for Silent, Sustained
  Reading.
• Many times I go over homework for the students to
  correct before I collect it.

SUPPLIESStudents must have

• Five 3-prong paper folders in the following
  colors blue, green, yellow, red and purple
• Plenty of paper and lots of pencils
• Colored pencils
• Highlighters

A/B Schedule

• 1st, 4th, and 6th periods meet Mondays and
  Wednesdays.
• 2nd, 5th, and 8th periods meet Tuesdays and
  Thursdays.
• All classes meet on Fridays.
• On four day weeks, we alternate A/B without
  meeting all classes.

Parent Communication

• On the first day of every week, the students are
  to write the weeks activities in their planners.
  
• I stamp or sign the planners weekly.
• Newsletters go home every three weeks.
• Class activities are posted on School Notes.

• I arrive between 700 and 715 every morning.
• I am usually here until 500 every evening.
• I am happy to help students before or after
  school.
