    denomination, with close to 3 million Canadians
    who, when asked by Statistics Canada in 2001,
    identified their religion as United Church.
    Represents about 10 of the Canadian population
  • Total of 3,527 local congregations across the
    country
  • Average households per congregation 136
  • Average members per congregation 168
  • Average persons under pastoral care 449

CMr Overview and Purpose
  • Project sponsored by Halton Presbytery, Halton
    United Church Extension Counsel, Erin Mills
    United, Streetsville United and Eden United
    Church
  • Purpose was to collect, sort and analyze data on
    the Churchill Meadows Region within Mississauga
    regarding developing new ministry activities
    within the area
