Block Classes and Upper Level Clearance
Your block classes are accompanied by intense
level 2 and 3 field placements in local
classrooms, where you have the chance to work
with students in a real-life setting. (These
placements will be described in detail later in
the meeting.) In order to register for block
classes, you must apply for Upper Level
Clearance. All sophomores must complete an Upper
Level Clearance Application this semester.
Clearance status and registration status will be
determined later this spring. Block classes and
sequencing (when you take what) may differ for
the different second certification areas (special
ed., math, English, science, social studies).
