  start preparation for a scoping meeting for a
  special report on renewable energy to follow
  completion of the 4th Assessment Report
• 2007 nominations and acceptance of participants
  in SR REN scoping meeting
• 1/2008 Scoping Meeting
• -4/2008 Scoping paper drafted and released
• 4/2008 IPCCs 28th Session -- Future of the
  IPCC, scoping paper for a SR REN
• 4-/2008 If panel decides to produce an SR REN,
  then a request for nominations of authors will be
  distributed (will include governments, IPIECA and
  other organizations)
• 9/2008 IPCCs 29th Session -- Election of a new
  IPCC bureau
• 2010- If panel decides to produce an SR REN,
  author teams will be chosen by WG III Bureau,
  report will be drafted and reviewed (0th, 1st,
  2nd, Final), WG Plenary will discuss SPM
  line-by-line prior to potential publication --
