The Mission
To fulfill Pauahis desire to create educational
opportunities in perpetuity to improve the
capability and well-being of people of Hawaiian
ancestry.
The Will
I desire my trustees to provide first and
chiefly a good education in the common
English branches, and also instruction in morals
and in such useful knowledge as may tend to
make good and industrious men and women
3 Hawaiÿi Lands
KS owns over 365,000 acres of Hawaiÿi land, the
majority of which are designated as conservation
and agricultural. At 15, 712 acres, the
Commercial and Residential land holdings make up
only 4.3 of KS total land portfolio. The
retail category holds 76 of the land portfolio
value and 29 of the value of the entire
portfolio. It includes assets such as the Royal
Hawaiian Center and it is critical to funding KS
mission.
