Title: This is a 42frame automatic slideshow, designed to give you an idea of our capabilities. The screens

1
This is a 42-frame automatic slide-show, designed
to give you an idea of our capabilities. The
screens will change every 15 seconds, so it
should entertain you for 10 minutes!
2
Ads Infinitum is a tiny company. But, as the
following slideshow demonstrates, there's not
much that we can't do. The first ever job was
generating the copy for Nissan's stands at
European car shows. So we're comfortable with
technology. This brochure, one of many pieces
which we wrote for Volvo, is a nice example.
3
Our versatility stretches far beyond technology.
Far beyond writing copy. Far beyond creating
brochures. But we have to start somewhere. So the
next few slides show a little of our experience
in working for clients whose products and
services are hi-tech. This, for example, was a
box for a router management product.
4
And these are pages from the corresponding
brochure. The business argument, reflecting our
belief that most modern managers are graduates
who will recognise a SWOT analysis when they see
it employed as a sales-tool, was approved without
a single amend by the client. But that's nothing
new. And what we always aim for!
5
These are pages from one of several brochures we
wrote for ASK InFocus projectors (a Norwegian
company). To do the job we had to digest files as
thick as your arm, and then generate brief and
easy-to-read summaries for would-be purchasers.
Our English texts were translated into most
European languages.
6
And here, for the British Plastics Industry, we
generated a copy solution which did away with a
lot of confusion. To save potential buyers having
to wade through wall after wall of text to
compare machines, we simply created a panel which
explained which features were common to all
machines. And then we only wrote about the USPs
beside the individual machines. Suddenly all
became clear!
7
Sometimes we're asked to create direct mail (DM)
pieces for clients. This was for a Dutch-based
enterprise which wanted to attract attendees to
seminars that were, in effect, sales
opportunities. Writing effectively for a
sophisticated audience, as we did here, can make
or break a sales campaign.
8
It should be clear by now that Ads Infinitum
isn't fazed by technical complexities. This
product sheet, one of many which demonstrates the
versatility of Volvo Penta engines, replaced
existing literature that was full of errors. To
get the facts and figures right, and save costly
repercussions for the client if buyers claimed
they'd been misled, we checked every last detail
with several independent sources.
9
We already mentioned language variants. This is a
publication we wrote. And project-managed into 9
languages. Amazingly, when we got hold of it, the
costs came down by 2/3. For the same magazine.
The secret? Organisation! Apparently nobody had
got it together before so that all 9 languages
could be printed at once!
10
It's worth mentioning content. We not only wrote
this entire magazine. We also sourced all the
pics. And see the London Boat Show preview? We
wrote the stand materials. For Dusseldorf too. We
wrote the press day speeches. We directed the
video. We sourced the music (saving 30K in that
one process). We carried out a competitor stand
analysis. Then we reorganised distribution. And a
whole lot more!
11
Sometimes we're called in to help generate new
strap-lines. Sadly this one (which referred to
Volvo trucks being eco-friendly but invariably
painted in blue and white) wasn't used.
12
But this one was. We're rather proud of it too,
because SCA is the biggest packager in Europe.
And it's been a thrill to see their trucks on the
motorway carrying our messaging. As well as, of
course, the products that we've helped to sell!
Here we also provided the SCA salesforce with
presenters that developed the theme, enabling
them to win the argument for using cardboard
boxes (and not plastic crates as manufactured by
their rivals).
13
We're also rather proud of articles like this.
Rieker Shoe has used Ads Infinitum for years to
write their catalogues, stand materials,
press-packs and PR. Since all they've ever told
us is that their shoes are 'light, flexible and
roomy', we have to use our imaginations to
generate advertorial like this at a moment's
notice.
14
And ads like this. Where, just so you realise the
tests to which we're put by clients, we had one
hour to do something with a picture they insisted
on using. Our solution? Write 'stroll on' in the
sand. And then a poem to suit. Andrew Motion it's
not. And neither is it poetry in motion. But it
helped Rieker win the IFRA 'Brand of the Year'.
15
Actually, we love clients with a sense of humour.
The marketing agency which 'planned' these
magazine and poster ads came to us on a Friday
night with a great brief. The pics were dark.
Nobody had given any thought to what the
straplines would be. And we had until Monday to
save their bacon. As you can see, we did.
16
In spades! Desperation is surely the mother of
invention!
17
Yet clearly we had fun with the long copy as well
as the headlines!
18
Sticking with the construction industry for a
moment, here's an example of how Ads Infinitum
has put words into other people's mouths for the
purposes of winning investors. In this case it
was corporate literature for Rialto Homes. This
kind of copy requires a knowledge of the product
and its market. But, perhaps more importantly, it
requires an understanding of what makes people
tick.
19
And speaking of names, here's one we're delighted
to have serviced.
20
And,oops, another!
21
But please don't be misled by big names. Ads
Infinitum services a lot of small companies. And
even sole traders. Like this undergraduate who
needed literature for her first fashion show! She
needed a photoshoot, design, copy and print. Ads
Infinitum undertook the whole process and
delivered within 2 weeks.
22
And this was a freebie. We wrote and designed the
flyer, but the client had it printed and
distributed though his free local newspaper. We
took a strip on the leading-edge to advertise
ourselves. So it was a great deal for everyone!
23
Having said that, we have on occasion produced
literature for the British Government. This was
part of a huge piece we wrote prior to Scotland's
decentralisation. There was, as light relief,
also a pamphlet for the man on the Falkirk
omnibus!
24
We mentioned Scotland. Ads Infinitum will work
anywhere, on location or online. We regularly
service overseas clients. That's taken us to
America recently, for example, to work on Johnson
Johnson accounts. And this work was for
Europe's market leaders in hotel and airport
doors. The brief was simply to use humour.
Obviously, being Swiss, they had to buy that in!
We used a cartoonist from 'The Beano'.
25
Ads Infinitum is very flexible in the way it
operates, and we have been a partner in almost
every sort of collaboration you could imagine.
This client has a design studio but nobody who
can write. So we've written for their clients.
And them too.
26
Same here! Thankfully, although anybody who can
find their way around a software package thinks
he can call himself a designer, very few
companies have anyone who can write intelligible
English. And, with the Americans dominating the
software industry, there's no electronic
short-cut in sight!
27
But don't go away thinking that we're copy
specialists who can't design. This is one of our
smart solutions. Teaching Personnel, market
leaders in providing supply teachers, needed a
logo to replace the green apple with which they'd
always tried to attract professional educators.
We respectfully suggested that teachers need
money like everyone else. The client hung on to
their apple. So we created this compromise!
28
This solution, an entire catalogue for the market
leaders in clothing to wear in freezers, involved
a long photoshoot as well as an immense amount of
design, copy and project management through to
delivery. All done by Ads Infinitum. On budget.
And on time. As always!
29
Previously this client had a black and white
catalogue. Each picture had a wall of text
accompanying it. As if introducing an
entirely-new user-friendly approach wasn't enough
to keep us busy, the client wanted no models. So
we stuffed every garment, suspended it on catgut,
photographed it, and then edited out the
evidence. We feel that this level of attention
should earn us sainthoods as well as commercial
success!
30
Of course everybody is selling. And one client,
Parity Training, took us on because we'd sent
them spams which made them laugh. Your emails
tend to get passed around our offices they said.
And not dumped. Can you do the same for us?We
did. And when the spams worked we got brochures.
Like this one.
31
Educational clients are very important to us.
And, apart from traditional media products such
as brochures and stands like these, apart from
new media products like websites, we also offer
an entirely unique service. We are alone in the
UK in rendering the assistance we lend to teacher
supply agencies. Apart from getting those
agencies up to scratch for the DfES Quality Mark,
we also help with preferred supplier list (PSL)
applications.
32
Within the education sector alone, we've serviced
something like 20 clients. Including the British
Council. And institutions as far away as
Providence University in Taipei. (That's in
Taiwan, where we've also been responsible for the
airport's aircraft recovery systems manuals. So
if your plane slides off the runway there and
they don't know what to do, then you can blame
us!)
33
As you'd imagine, we are frequently asked to
source promotional items. Like wall-planners,
calculator mouse-mats, printed stress-balls,
diaries, desk-diaries, literature dispensers and
bottles of own-label wine. You name it and we can
do it! What's more, by now we've enough contacts
to be able to hatch special deals for our clients.
34
Which is evident from having done jobs like this
(a dozen labels for the Wine Corporation - and
the designer was told to go and buy - on our tab
- a mixed case of the type he needed to know more
intimately... )
35
And jobs like this. Which was a double-page
spread for an investment magazine. In common with
many jobs we wrote the piece on the sketchiest
brief. Over a weekend. But, as is often the case,
the client left it to us and didn't need to
change a single word of the solution. We put this
success down to being not only creative but
because every word we generate is checked by
somebody with a masters-level background in
Business Admin experience in blue-chip Market
Intelligence.
36
We mentioned websites. Anybody can create
websites, huh? Right. But most websites aren't so
smart. And you get what you pay for. Ads
Infinitum creates classy-looking sites. They're
uncluttered (with no proliferation of buttons).
They're functional. They're easy to navigate
around (we create logical schematics before we
build). And the copy is well-written.
37
For creative campaigns we can, as you'd expect,
provide a visualisation service. Most agencies
can do that. But, as you can see, at Ads
Infinitum we don't use amateurs.
38
That's not to say we always charge. Macmillan
Cancer Relief is one charity which has had the
benefit of totally free work from Ads Infinitum.
We have also supported, without any charge
whatsoever, The Friends of Stoke Mandeville
Hospital.
39
In Macmillan's case we also created two radio
ads. Flyers. Vinyls. And shop-window cards. The
success of the campaign owes a lot to the great
people we work with!
40
So that's more or less it, really! We don't want
to bore your pants off. In a nutshell, Ads
Infinitum is entirely capable of helping you to
develop your enterprise's strategic planning. And
we're self-evidently very experienced in
generating effective and economic creative
marketing solutions. Whether it's a traditional
media solution like a folder-cum-brochure that
you need ...
41
... or if it's a new media solution like a
website (the snapshot below is a sample of our
online digital wit for the same teacher supply
client). Or a combination of traditional and new
media. Whichever way you cut it, we reckon we can
outperform any other agency. To put it another
way, if you use Ads Infinitum you won't be
saddled with any lemons.
42
Ads Infinitum. Is there no end to our
creativity? If you're in any doubt after this,
ask to see our literature.
